It will take place right in the flow of work, in the Microsoft Teams environment. With a library of templates, questions, and analytics, the tool will aim to give people a voice. To help managers pinpoint what’s working well. And to highlight areas for improvement.

This is an interesting addition to the Viva suite. Data suggests that employees need to feel heard in order to do their best work. And Viva Pulse certainly has the potential to provide that.

2. Bridge the gap between employees and leaders with Leadership Corner in Viva Engage

Viva Engage, the tool that provides a virtual social space for employees, is expanding its capabilities to improve employee relationships with leaders.

Leadership Corner is a space where leaders can start an open dialog with the rest of the organisation. With news posts, Ask Me Anything (AMA) events, surveys, and more. Leaders can build a stronger relationship with the rest of the business. And people across organisations can pose their questions to those at the highest level.

3. Supporting effective communications at scale with Viva Amplify

Important messages need to be elevated across organisations in order to energise your people.

Viva Amplify will centralise important communication processes in a single space. And offer writing guidance to help messages from every part of the organisation resonate. Communicators can publish to multiple channels simultaneously, manage campaigns from a central hub, and access analytics to better plan future communications.

4. Using machine learning to enhance the employee experience

This new release of features to Microsoft Viva makes use of AI technology to enhance the employee experience.

Answers in Viva is a new capability that will use AI to match employee questions to answers. As well as matching to experts across the organisation. It’s an interesting use of machine learning. One that will put collective knowledge to work for all employees.

Similarly, People in Viva will use the same technology improve how well colleagues know each other. It will create rich profile cards with details on your people’s interests, knowledge, and goals. Particularly useful in larger organisations, it will help people easily discover experts in their organisation and other useful insights.

5. Improve employee learning by accessing LinkedIn learning content in the flow of work

Microsoft 365 tools have had integrations with LinkedIn for some time.

But stronger integrations between Viva Learning and LinkedIn Learning will make it even easier for people to access learning content right in the flow of work. Learners will be able to see all their LinkedIn Learning Hub content directly within Viva.

With learning and development raised as a key contributor to employee retention in the latest Work Trend Index, this new integration ensures learning is more accessible for all.

6. A new home experience in Viva Connections to bring the suite together in one place

With so many incredible features already within Microsoft Viva – and more being announced all the time – employees can’t possibly have time to make use of them all.

That’s where the new home experience in Viva Connections comes in.

The new home layout will include highlights from all apps across the Viva Suite, bringing them together in one place. Accessible from one, central location. This is also being coupled with a new briefing email from Viva, which will provide each user with personalised insights and recommendations to enhance their employee experience.
