NHS Digital

We worked with NHS Digital to recruit and build the most successful digital champions community achieved nationally across the NHS to date. Enabling staff across both health and social care to use technology more efficiently.   

What Hable did:

• Over 2,200 NHS Digital Heroes trained across 5 different cohorts  
• Over 260 different NHS organisations reached nationally  
• Hundreds of Hable hours delivering technology training to NHS staff  
• Improved understanding and confidence using technology  
  

NHS Digital identified significant gaps in the usage of Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 programmes across the NHS. Digital Heroes was our way of bridging this gap. By training up staff from different roles and areas across the NHS to improve digital skills and confidence.  

We started with an eye-catching brand and engaging comms campaign. Right front the get go it captivated attention and drove excitement. Our inhouse creative team got together to produce a pack of assets that included web banners, posters and the now nationally recognised Digital Heroes badge.   

Each Digital Hero was then enrolled in an engaging 6 week learning programme. They were invited to attend 16 different workshops. Each lasted an hour and were designed to be fully flexible to accommodate various shift patterns. 

While the learning focused around building confidence with the technology available to staff, it also covered skills on how to be a leader of change. These sessions were then supported by info guides, how-to videos, and informative GIFs to aid further learning.

We’re delighted that 2,200 Digital Heroes were trained across the NHS with many more initially registering their interest. We engaged with over 260 NHS organisations around country, and clocked hundreds of hours of training with NHS staff.
